Writers Block, is a pain in the ass. I'm not psychologist, but here are some methods I've used since I was in collage.
- Clearing the mind; Simply put, go for a walk, just wander around for a bit, you can listen to music if you want (I will usually listen to songs/OSTs I commonly use in videos), however, when I have no clue on where to even start, I go with out music. Don't stress about the topic, enjoy the walk, but keep the topic in the back of your mind.
- Overload; Throw everything at the paper, just start writing. If you cant even think of a word, inundate yourself with as much information on the topic. Something will come up.
- Chef Method; cook something. Doesn't matter what. Don't even think about what you are working on, focus on cooking. Eat the meal, relax for a bit. Then start looking at the topic. Something will come to mind.
- Lift. Go gym, lift heavy rock.
- Ernest Hemmingway Method; If all else fails. Get plastered, and just start writing, spelling mistakes be damned. Come back in the morning (I don't get hangovers, so have fun with that), and try and salvage whatever barely coherent thoughts you wrote down.
