Nice to meet you all.
I am Maia Hollins, a CPG founded, UNT scholar, a wife and mother of 4.
I hold a degree in Merchandising from the University of North Texas, with a minor in Business Administration, and have built my career at the intersection of retail strategy, product development, and brand growth.
I’ve worked as a Merchant for JCPenney, where I gained deep experience in assortment planning, pricing, and large-scale retail execution. I later served as an Assistant Buyer for Beer & Wine across Circle K and Sunoco/Stripes convenience stores, managing vendor relationships, category performance, and high-volume retail environments.
Beyond corporate retail, I successfully grew my own brand from a kitchen concept into placement in over 450 Walmart stores, navigating sourcing, packaging, compliance, and national retail expansion firsthand.
This course is built on real-world experience combining big-box retail insight with entrepreneurial execution to help you understand what it truly takes to build, scale, and sell products in today’s retail landscape.
