Hi, I'm Debla...

I'm from Miami, FL. -- just catching up and yet still behind on the twilly thing. I've been following Kate/CC for years on IG and am very happy and excited to be participating in this group. A marketing professional turned stay-at-home mom 25 years ago, I've sewn and tinkered on lots of things over the years... from costumes to many small sewing repairs. My daughters keeps me on my toes with projects that range from sizing down evening/prom gowns (she's an xxs) to creating a castanet case with left-over upholstery fabric (spanish dance lessons) and more recently a conversion that was challenging (for me) and actually turned out well (ie: she wears it out, LOL) -- converted a boys RL dress shirt into a strapless, fold-over, buttoned-up-back top. I'm not even sure how we did that... but we did. I've always embraced a reduce/reuse/repurpose mindset and I'm excited at this opportunity. Thank you Kate and CC team. :)
