Forgiveness is really about giving yourself your time back.
Holding on to guilt, anger, regret, or resentment for years can quietly drain your peace and keep you emotionally stuck. Sometimes we spend so much time revisiting what happened that we lose sight of everything still waiting for us ahead.
I also think people need to give themselves more grace. We all have moments we wish we handled differently. That is part of life and part of growth.
Time is too valuable to spend it constantly punishing yourself for things you cannot change. Learn from it, heal from it, and keep moving forward.
