Next, check out this article about rats and drugs! Rats were kept in solitary cages and given the choice between water and drug-laced water chose the drugs until they died. Rats kept in a nice environment with other rats chose the water over the drugs! So if you have found yourself in a slump, try doing things you normally don't do.
Take alternative routes to and from work, get outside if you normally would stay in, go meet strangers, and have new experiences!
I have done things like this in the not-too-distant past & it can greatly improve my outlook on life in a short amount of time.
