Here I am!

I am so happy to be here! I joined and left several communities here in the 6 weeks I’ve been on Skool because I felt everyone was sooooo far ahead of me in this business that I felt like I was drowning coming out of the gate.

A little about me, I’ll try and keep it short, but I do have to warn you, I am French speaking and you can’t see me flailing my arm as I write, so my finger is just pecking at the screen. 🤭. I was an RN for 32 years sidelined into a forced retirement at 50 years old. I hurt my back at work, so as we were driving to my doctors appointment, we were in a car accident which caused me to be off work for the better part of 3 years. Finally, I might be able to get back into the workplace in a new job, so we started the return to work plan. The next day, I was so excited to go back to a job I loved, I went shopping for what I was going to need on day 1. And guess what happened, pulling out at a green light, out of nowhere comes this SUV, and yes, I got T-boned. Accident #2, 2 vehicles destroyed, trashed my return to work plans, my then partner abandoned me, and had to move out. I was left with no money, no vehicle, no job, no relationship, homeless, I lost everything. Once, a leader, educator, take charge person, suddenly became a nobody and a burden to everyone. I can never work as a nurse again, so here I am rebuilding my life and learning new skills at the same time. I was a nurse, now I am learning to work on a computer… who knew.

But this learning process doesn’t come without surprises. You want to learn, empty your wallet, but you are not allowed to mention/advertise/ask for advice about your community. I felt like my voice was not welcome there. Some communities are still on “parole ” in my books, I guess I just haven’t found the spark to stay or leave. And to put icing on the cake, while I was trying to learn the social media way of marketing, TikTok decided to throw me a challenge. I had two accounts deleted overnight, no explanation why, just gone along with my contacts/followers. So I tried to create more accounts, but got 14 banned in total. Don’t tell them but I do have 3 they haven’t found and it’s been two weeks, yay me!!!! The only thing I had done differently was using ChatGPT and Canva, so I am still a little skittish when I see I might have to work with them two again.

So all this to say, I am very happy to be here, I love the enthusiasm, I am here to learn how to grow, not only financially but as a person.
