Wondering about specific features, before I fully commit to Skool
Loving Skool, and the Skool 101 course videos are great - watched them all. But they don't answer some questions that I need to resolve ASAP -- as I need to sign up to Skool or a competitor this week or next.
I was unable to find a "propaganda" page highlight Skool's features. Is there such a page? I need to understand all the features and limitations, including what's our hard storage capacity for documents and videos (and whether you have native video storage, or if I have to use external, such as YouTube). What I need to be sure of is asked below (not all are show-stoppers).
Short versions of questions:
  1. Gamification: Can we add additional gamification rules?
  2. Audio: Can Skool store audio files?
  3. Storage: What is the content storage limit?
  4. Limiting community: Can we turn off community for some or all members?
  5. Sub limit: Is there a max subscriber limit per group?
  6. Removing subs: Is subscriber removal automated? == Show-stopper if Q9's answer is "yes"
  7. Personal calendars: Can calendar events be "personalized?"
  8. Multiple groups: Do we pay $99/m for each group we create?
  9. Single group, multi-tiered: Can we set up multiple subscription tiers?
Details:
Sorry that the details are so verbose. I have some very advanced technical requirements and need to decide quickly. My feeling is not all of these questions will be answered in the Classroom videos, which will take me all week to go through.
  1. Gamification: Ability to add other gamification rules at each subscription tier - not a show-stopper; I might be able to rig it some other way.
  2. Audio: Can Skool store audio files or at least show an audio player linked by URL to an MP3/WAV file stored elsewhere in the Cloud?
  3. Storage: What is the storage limit on a Skool community for content of all sorts?
  4. Limiting community: Can "community" be controlled? E.g., turned off for some members in an easy manual or automated fashion?
  5. Sub limit: Is there a max subscriber limit? If there is, do you have a way where I can pay a premium each month to allow more subscribers?
  6. Removing subs: Easy removal of members who stopped paying (e.g., via Stripe or whatever). This is important in all subscription tiers, especially the top tier, where my team gets paid for their hourly services based on paying clients. Otherwise, it'll end up costing me. (Or at least some way to natively flag members in my Skool community who are unpaid for the month, even if I have to do it manually.)
  7. Personal calendars: Can calendar events be "personalized?" E.g., at my highest subscription tier, members would be able to communicate with my team/admins to book 1-on-1 coaching/ hypnosis sessions (payment handled through subscription level, and possibly outside means). That coaching event is personal and should not be posted in the group calendar. But if it's possible to actually add such an event to a "personal" calendar, it would show up only to the member and the coach -- no one else. Is that possible?
  8. Multiple groups: I essentially need either one group with multiple tiers (different subscription rates), or worst case multiple groups. In Skool 101, 2nd-last video, Sam mentions creating multiple groups but does not make clear if we have to pay $99/m for each group. The problem I have is that, with 3+ tiers desired, each tier needs to offer all of the features/ content of the tier below it. Not sure how multiple groups work, but can we automate a sign-up to higher tiers to have automatic access to lower tiers upon sign-up? Asking since it seems we can only send one webhook. I guess there are manual ways around this.
  9. Single group, multi-tiered subscriptions. If the answer to #8 is that we have to pay $99/m for each group we create, then I'm wondering about an alternate approach. Can we set up multiple subscription tiers like Kartra, and can Calendar event listings be tiered by subscription? Both show-stoppers. For example, I need 3-4 sub levels, either explicitly (native to Skool) or implicitly (rigged through some sort of Skool member "flag" value that allows me to block access to some content, if not calendar events):
9A. Relaxer - $X/mo, and gives access only to ASMR and relaxation (e.g., rain/thunder) audio files and videos that are 3, 6, 8, 10 hours long - preferably natively-stored on Skool, not on YouTube. Potentially thousands of members (possibly very quickly, redirected from free YouTube videos). So automation is needed to block their access to other tiers' features and calendar events. In fact, this tier theoretically would not have any calendar events, but if they see the B+C tiers' events (maybe to tease-market them), I need a way to easily block thousands of users.
9B. BrainHacker - $Y/mo (>X), and gives access to Relaxer content AND articles, ebooks, more videos, and a Calendar that shows guided workshops (conducted with Zoom). E.g., I need to stop Relaxer subscribers from either seeing the workshop listings or accessing them. Max 300-1000 subscribers over 3 yrs.
9C. MindMastery - $Z/mo (>>Y), and gives access to everything above (BrainHacker+Relaxer), as well as additional special events that non-MindMastery subscribers should not see or access. This tier is for subscribers who need actual 1-on-1 coaching/ hypnosis services from my team - which do not need to be booked in Skool. Everyone here (subscribers AND admin) would only see the BrainHacker-level Calendar events. This level will have individual events that do not need to be on the Calendar. For example, if a MindMastery subscriber wants 1 hour of hypnosis from one of my admins, that does not need to be in the Calendar; they can mutually schedule. But the fact that the subscriber is paid up is important, because I have to pay the the admin person (coach or hypnotist).
Re a fourth sub level: It would actually be a variation of C. So for example, most C subscribers might, say, pay $247/mo for two 1-hour coaching/ hypnosis sessions per month. But some might prefer a special deal ($447/mo) that gets them weekly sessions. I will not be doing most of these sessions; my team will. Subscribers in either of these MindMastery options see everything that BrainHacker (B) subscribers see. The only difference is that MMs get access to 1-1 sessions with my team. So I have to ensure the difference in sub rate is paid.
Any response to any of these questions (especially re multi-tiers where each higher tier contains the previous tiers' features/ content) is much appreciated. Again, apologies for the verbosity.
