You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Going to move my FB Mastermind and Kajabi course over to this platform. Taking a chance on what I'm betting will be an amazing experience for my clients.

9

• Feb 1

I'm on board @Sam Ovens! Exiting Kajabi shortly...any update on Skool hosting videos (instead of YouTube or Vimeo for our course content) - kind of like how Kajabi allows you to use and control end of video experiences via Wistia?

@Kevin McCann stay tuned!

@Sam Ovens Thanks Sam - will do!

This looks incredible Sam, thank you for your hard work. Facebook groups has become so over saturated with mess and confusion. I hope this becomes the next biggest social media platform! Excited for you

@Taylor James thanks 🙂

There is one thing I always wanted to say, i really really really deeply appreciate @Sam Ovens. I fell in love a few years ago into your way of thinking about business & life and all the value you give through your videos on YouTube.

This platform is basically a DREAM COME TRUE, because the backbone of this whole operation is Sam and this wonderful community, which in my opinion makes it special and SO VALUABLE! There are a lot of people or companies which can create such platforms, but there is ... See more

@Stefan Karalic thanks dude 🙂

Thanks Sam! Hoping there will be Zapier integrations in the near future so I can automatically add someone to Skool when they checkout on ClickFunnels or we process their payment on Stripe.

@Ted Carr Check out the Skool 101 Course, @Sam Ovens is talking about Webhooks and Zapier there. :)

5

• Feb 5

@Stefan Karalic thanks! but now wondering: can we remove users via zapier as well if they stop paying?

can we discuss the combination of teachable and circle vs skool and do a comparative analysis with regards to pricing as well as features? another community tool that i was exploring is mighty networks? can we discuss as a group the pros and cons so that the switching is easier and faster? (i am currently on a teachable + circle combination but haven't launched my course or community yet)

• Feb 2

@Akash Gupta why don't you try both products and use the one you like most?

9

• Feb 2

@Akash Gupta there is something to be said for ease of use. Skool is so user friendly. I showed it to my biz partner this morning and 60min later she's running with it. Simple, effective, and a very clean and crisp user experience. Every product is going to have pros and cons - for your needs. Grab the one that works best for you. I found mine - here - yesterday. 😎

Excited to start using this. Great job @Sam Ovens

This seems like an excellent platform with the potential to become a billion dollar company. I'm looking forward to seeing it grow.

8

• Feb 3

@Jeffrey Martin True Story, I see this becoming the new billion dollar thing in the future 🔥💯

3

• Feb 3

@Sam Ovens will you be introducing a pay yearly option or will it just be monthly?

6

• Feb 3

@Andrew Mattis probably later, but for now it's $99 /month.

4

• Feb 4

@Sam Ovens Can we create free group for my subscribers?

1

• Feb 4

@John Tan By "free group" what do you mean? At the moment, you have to pay (99$) for a group where you can invite your subscribers. You have a 14-Day Trial to test things out.

2

• Feb 4

I mean if I subscribe to the $99, can I create a free group in skool?

2

• Feb 4

@John Tan yes, you can.

5

• Feb 5

@John Tan - $99/mo is so you can run your own Skool group (free or paid). It's up to you how you want to let people into it.

Really love this concept, i've been looking for a place to host my community off of facebook because it's just too much noise, so i'm happy to see another option @Sam Ovens lol also love the school bus and cactus garden vibes as well

9

• Feb 9

@Shaneil Stewart i really wish we get to travel in that school bus with @Sam Ovens one day! lol

2

• Feb 9

@Akash Gupta next mastermind in the bus!

How exclusive is the paid account? Would my members see the other groups available on Skool? Can I use my own domain name? I don't want my students to be distracted by other groups.

2

• Feb 9 (edited)

@Samuel Stone - If they are members of other Skool groups they will see all groups they're a member of in the dropdown at the top (just like Circle.so (although Circle gives you the ability to turn that OFF)).

As for a branded URL, it's not possible at the moment.

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe - Are branded URLs something that's been confirmed on the roadmap?

1

@Samuel Stone Your group's members won't be able to see other groups unless, of course, they are a part of it. Chris's screenshot :)

@Samuel Stone @Chris Moore Domain/Branded URL feature isn't on the roadmap as of now. Appreciate your feature request!

2

• Feb 10

I'd pay for it if there was an option to remove branding

4

This is fire.😎

Stoked to check this out --- been on wait list for a year :)

First of all, it's nice to see how you advance with your products and services from time to time by reading your newsletters and watching your videos!

How do you think about a learning community with the option where learners/members can get in touch with others by solving some small-size example projects or tasks for a customer to confirm his ability to work on large-scale projects.

IMHO, this would make an USP compared to other business networks by removal of traditional understanding of applica... See more

Hey @Sam Ovens great stuff! I have a few questions:

  1. Is there any Gigabyte limitation on uploading videos? Currently on Kajabi we’re uploading about 10 hours worth of videos per week.
  2. Is there any integration available for Clickfunnels/Activecampaign/Zapier yet? We do sell dozens of low ticket courses per week, therefore we need to give instant access to those.

Thank you.

3

• Feb 18

@Marco Ferrari

1.) Skool doesn’t provide video hosting. You have to use Vimeo, Wistia, YouTube, or Loom.

2.) You can use Zapier and the Skool webhook to grant access.

2

These videos are very informative. I watched them all in one sitting and learned a lot. Will there be a video on how to use the Billing members option? I didn't see it explained in any of the videos, unless I missed it. Thanks!

3

@Katherine Lizardo Nice! What kind of Billing info are you looking for?

Great intro to Skool - thanks Sam!

Loving this platform so far! Great job Sam!

@Sam Ovens @Nick Hauser @Sid Sahasrabuddhe

Hi Guys, we have wanted to use your platform since we started your course last year so this is amazing. What we (my business partner @Jodie Fielden & I) would like to know is the client billing & access control. We can't see any back end control for access & groups in the trial. Subscription options & where we plug in payment methods (I'm not sure the correct terms sorry) Will you have the drip control so that we can control how fast someone has access t... See more

@Adrienne Varga I'll reach out to you over Skool Chat to better understand the nuances of your use case 😀

Thanks Sam. You always innovate with simplicity and clarity in order to help your community. Are you planning to add "Live Streaming" like your competitor?

Once you do, your platform will be #1 in my opinion. Thanks again.

1

• Mar 7

@Regg D thanks! It's not on our roadmap at the moment.

This is amazing Sam, local kiwi here too. I’m down in Wanaka and am just building my course and planning everything out regarding it. Just came across you not too long ago and your content, courses, just everything is amazing. Hope your enjoying things over in the states.

Seeing people jump over to skool from Kajabi. This is interesting.

3

• Mar 24

so glad I'm learning about this now. I've been in the background working on my 'stuff'. Looking forward to this platform when my stuff is ready!

3

• Mar 30

I'm thrilled to be here, wondering if i can ditch clickfunnels + kajabi?

2

@Italo Campilii Welcome! You'd need CF for landing pages, etc. Skool focuses on the "after-the-sale" part :)

1

• Mar 30

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe Oh man, skool would crush CF and everyone if they had that feature

1

Thanks for making this. At a crossroads right now figuring out which platform to host my retirement coaching program.

• Apr 11

I am grateful, that I got to skool now.😇

4

• Apr 14 (edited)

Can you create unlimited groups within the same account at 99/mo? Or is the 99/mo limited to per group?

2

• Apr 14

@Foozieh Falah - $99/month per group, but each group can contain multiple courses

3

@Nick Guadagnoli But everyone in the group would have access to multiple courses, right?
