Skool Due Diligence

Is Skool 3x better than MN at this level?

I’m drawn to Skool and also want to be making a smart choice re: fund allocation. @Sid Sahasrabuddhe

You'll have to define "better".

For some, simpler is better :)

For others, more features is better.

So it really depends what you're looking for...

What are you looking for exactly?

For me I'm looking for a simple community forum, calendar for Zoom calls, and a place for my course contents to live.

I like the simplest approach - so I signed up with Skool.

Are there things I'd change about Skool?

Yes! Which is why I provide ample feedback to the team in the hopes they'll make these changes... but there's... See more

@Ted Carr I hear you- trying to see what’s better about Skool than what’s posted here as they seem the same.

@Ted Carr Why do you prefer Skool over Podia? Also Did you hear that Kajabi now has their own “zoom”-like feature? I just heard yesterday. If I can have It it all in one is best for me. Thoughts?

@Leah Fisch - We've tried to simplify and solve the most important problems in a community/course platform, but its really up to you to decide! I'd recommend trying the skool free trial, then trying MN and select the one you like the most.

@Nick Guadagnoli thanks-is there something in particular you’re solving that you’re aware of re: MN?

@Nick Guadagnoli Hi Nick, I have a few questions 🤓, 1. Does Skool have a live video component for groups? Like doing a facebook live inside your private group? And If so, can I have people join a separate private group to do a live video masterclass for potential clients who are not members of my paid community? 🤔😄

@Leah Fisch I moved to Skool and one thing I hear often from my clients are that they are so happy the group is not on Facebook. Not all my clients are on Fb and others are getting off FB so the benefit of Skool is one login, content, and community in one place. And not on FB. Plus, Skool is simple to use. I like the calendar, too.

@Jen Boyd that’s great!

My question is it seems the same as what I’ve posted here- trying to see if it’s 3x better re: price- it seems identical.

@Leah Fisch I just glanced at mn and it was $99 with online courses. Not sure if 3 x better. What I do know is that migrating a community, even if small is like herding cats and they don’t all migrate and it takes time to get a lot of them to the new place. So my recommendation is to pick one and stay.

Will give you the opinion of someone who ran a big MN community.

I recently switched from MN to SKOOL.

While I’ll be staying on SKOOL (as I believe in what Sam does), right now MN is just far superior.

You can host your class, discussion, chat on it & it allows for unlimited blasts, and notifications to members which keeps them super engaged.

I wrote about it before, but my zoom calls using MN were over 50% attended - sometimes as high as 70%. On SKOOL, it’s more like 5-10%.

SKOOL is a bit too minima... See more

@Leah Fisch Sorry Leah for the late reply; got busy with the Quantum Mastermind event over the weekend. It looks like the members who are using Skool for their group/s have jumped in and answered your question. I'd just try the product, see if it fits the use case and start using it. But if you have any questions, want to know anything specific about the product, feel free to let me know. Happy to assist in any way I can 😀

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe thanks!

I’ve decided to go with my gut and go w Skool.

Btw is it included for Quantum members as a perk for that year?

Also when do Quantum doors open again?

1

@Leah Fisch Nice! If you have any questions regarding Skool or need any help setting anything up, just let me know!

Sending you a message on Skool Chat regarding Quantum :)
