*Privacy* Option to keep face private

Hi I understand that when inviting new users, they are forced to upload a profile picture of themselves. Currently there is no option to skip this step. Whilst I understand this improves the quality of users, reduces trolls etc - I am concerned that students who do not wish to display their face publicly will be concerned about this from a privacy perspective.
