Opportunity? Tribe shutting down its free offer

Tribe is shutting down its free offer leaving users with 2 choices :

Move to the 599/month yearly payment
Move ⁣to another platform

I was wondering if there was an opportunity for Skool through a YouTube video or a blog / medium / tweet post to position itself.

Saying something like hey, Tribe users, we got you, join Skool

Here is their message users are going to be pissed off.

Effective January 31st, 2023, Tribe is discontinuing support and access to customers on Tribe’s Basic (free) plan.

Move to Tribe’s new version: over the past year, Tribe increased the value of the platform significantly. New features, integrations, and capabilities of the product enabled our company to evolve and package our product and pricing in a more robust way. With that, Tribe no longer offers a free plan and the new pricing reflects plans that start at an entry price of $599/month with an annual commitment. You can talk to our Sales team by replying to this message and evaluate whether it will suit your community's needs.

Evaluate another community platform: if Tribe’s pricing is not suitable for you, we have included a helpful resource, CommunityScout, which can help you evaluate and select the most suitable community platform based on your needs and budget.

What will happen to your community information:

Effective January 31, 2023 it will no longer be accessible on Tribe and will be deleted from Tribe’s servers.

As a result, we highly recommend that you go and export your data from your community if you want to have a backup of everything. You can export your members and content by going to the Admin Panel > Reports > Export.
