Officially making a 100% transition to Skool + How I Did It
I want to share how I've been able to make the switch and how I overcame a few problems:
PROBLEM 1:
My group coaching program offers lifetime access to the course, but only 90 days to coaching. Since I can not remove access to call/community in Skool (feature I wish was available), I have to completely kick people out of Skool when they are done coaching... then give them the course somewhere else.
HOW I FIXED IT:
I bought another Skool community. I made this Skool community FREE. Instead of using a Facebook group, I'm going to now be using Skool. When students are done with their coaching, I move them to this free Skool and assign them our course specifically to them. This helps to keep them inside of our community AND gives them continued access to the course. This allowed me to leave Kajabi.
PROBLEM 2:
We work with beginners in business. They need a lot of support. They need to show up to every call and they want to. This creates a problem for us after about 20 members because as we get more of them, the quality of the weekly Q&A calls goes down... People have to wait longer and they feel less supported. It's not very efficient. We wanted a way to grow our group program, while keeping calls to less than 20 students.
HOW I FIXED IT:
We no longer put the Zoom call link in the calendar of public group section. Now, we have courses in the classroom called "Group 1 Call Link" & "Group 2 Call Link" -- when we have on-boarding calls with our students, we assign them to a group. This group has a specific weekly call time that is scheduled on the calendar -- the instruction for it say "get the call link from the classroom". Nobody else can get these Zoom links unless they are assigned to the specific course which they are in. This allows us to create the "pod" and divided group structure we want... while keeping the community large.
Hope this helps others.
Also hope Skool created features to make these 2 things easier :) but duct tape solution for now.
