New features: "Drip" and "Course permissions"

Introducing two new features for courses:

  1. Drip — Now you can drip course content to your members over time. When adding/editing a module, turn drip on, and enter the number of days you want to module to drip after.

  1. Course permissions — Now you can give some of your members access to course A, but not course B. When adding/editing a course, set permissions to "All members have access" (default), or "Only some members have access". To give specific members access, find the member from the member's l... Super useful

This is a very good one, Sam. I was waiting for the "Course permissions" for a while.

It's really powerful features. It would be interesting to record the number of times a given video loop is observed. For example you create a loop from minute x to minute y and have the ability to know how many times you have seen that part

1

Love it! Thanks for this

2

This is excellent! Thank you for delivering!

The only suggestion is an API to provide access to "cats" so it's not manual. :) And possibly the ability to unlock content based on activity in the community. Like "The 5-Gem Award!" where a person earns X Gems over X period and is given access to special content or something like that.

LOVE it and have already been using it.

2

Thanks for this. Game changer.

3

It is literally what I needed to finish convincing myself and start working with this platform. Good progress Sam.

2

I'm doing a full review on Skool on multiple platforms, I want to send as many peeps here as possible!

Sick! @Sam Ovens I saw these earlier when I was working in my group and was super excited about it. Thanks for the amazing feature roll out's lately. Can't wait to see you guys grow bigger than Kajabi. I know with how you run things you probably wont need it, but if you guys do decide to raise money for investment please hit me up! :)

Love it... Nice work Sam. The creative juices are flowing. We're rolling with about 600 combined members using it and Lord willing we'll be double that in the next 2 -3 months after we implement our new strategies.

Keep your eyes open.

Blessings -James

Hi, this is exactly what we need. To clarify however, we have weekly modules. After week 1, we set the next module for 7 days. After that, do we continue 7 day drips, or do we go 14 days and then 21 days and so on. The wording implies it is triggered from the students joining day, not completion of the weekly module. Thanks Mary (admin)

@Leanne Sklavenitis - Yes the course will drip based on the date the member joined the group. So set up your drip to unlock modules based on the total days after the student joins

Thanks Nick, really helpful. Regards Mary

Waking up to this 🤩.

Perfect timing as we want to test a new course and give access to a handful people before releasing it to everybody.

This is a killer feature, definitely get Skool

1

wooooh!

Can a drip feed for the "set" be made? so the entire week be made to be released.. rather than individual videos?

1

1

@Marko Pfann @Michael Brynkus If you put the same day count for the modules in a specific Set, then that Set will drip all the modules at once. Example use case attached which shows - Week 1 Set will drip in 7 days, and Week 2 Set will drip in 14 days 😀

Great news to see this today!🔥⚔️🔥

Is the course content dripped over time on an individual basis, or group?

0

@George Samuels The course modules are dripped over time on an individual basis, depending on the members' join date.

Great timing. Would be awesome to be able to just add students to a group and then gate access to certain courses by group. And have that API accessible would be clutch, otherwise we're doing a lot of manual updating up individual student permissions.

2

@Spencer Handley I agree, this should be the next step. Eliminate the manual work of updating access/permissions via API triggers (for example a payment)

Would love to be able to drip the SET & not all the dif modules..
