Get Free Group New Member to check DMs

I've recently migrated my FB group to skool, but given how its a platform that many people don't use atm compared to FB or IG, I'm having trouble getting users to check their DMs more frequently (this is how I get calls booked - via conversations).

Outside of hounding their emails with reminders, do you guys have any ideas of how you can make people who join your group come back more often?
