Breaking Down Hormozi's VSL Structure: So you can use it!
Creating a VSL for your about page increases the likelihood of conversion. It's a must do.
Hormozi briefly touched on how it was put together but I wanted to give you a more indepth breakdown so you can take it and make it your OWN 🫵
You have probably heard of this framework before:
  • problem
  • proof
  • promise
  • plan
And now I'm going to break it down from its WOW to it's HOW.

  1. PROBLEM/PAIN
Start your VSL by making the pain relevant to your ideal avatar.
Ask questions that end with the prospect saying YES:
  • Do you wake up every morning feeling tired? YES
or
  • Isn't it annoying see people like you succeeding everyday and you're wondering "why am I not succeeding too?
Getting your prospect to FEEL the pain in this opening of your VSL is crucial for setting the tone for the latter part of the VSL
Hormozi then transitions the video and RELATES it to himself by saying:
"I get it, I was once there too, it wasn't until I.... - INSERT SOLUTION YOU TOOK TO FIX PROBLEM -
When you are selling in your VSL, you don't want to start with YOU being the solution, but rather just giving them the solution that worked for you.
The crazy part about this is this solution is exactly what you are going to be selling them into throughout the entire VSL. We just say it differently in the first segment so it becomes more relatable to the propsect.
THE TRANSITION to all PROOF PROMISE PLAN
Hormozi then does a quick 10 seconds of:
"It wasn't until I paid a business owner (solution) to teach me how to run a local business (promise) that I felt comfortable starting my own (plan) which I eventually sold for $46 QUAZILLION $$$$ BABY (proof).
In just one sentence he was able to quickly go from RELATIVE PAIN OF PROSPECT to AUTHORITY.
This is exactly where you show them how the SOLUTION you took to fix the problem THEY have is what got you YOUR MOST DESIRED OUTCOME AND CRAZY FUCKING WIN....
This is an outcome that far and few between ever achieve, so Hormozi go straight back to keeping it relvative after this point.

2. SOFT CTA - WITH PROOF
Now this is where you say:
"I want to do the same for you, I'm going to show you how you can do this too, because I have done it time and time again with other individuals etc"
He spends the next minute or so going over other potential OBJECTIONS the prospect might have
So think
What are the most reoccuring questions I get in my business and then just lay them out, while explaing how your service/product helps them overcome those questions.
GIVE EXAMPLES of things that people can do with your product. Really lay it out for them so they can start to envision THEMSELVES thinking "yo I actually think I can do this too!"

3. PROOF AGAIN
LEVERAGE YOUR CUSTOMER RESULTS
This is where you place your customers who have walked this path before the prospect. Use multiple use cases of different people.
If you don't have results and you havn't sold someone, GO WORK FOR FREE UNTIL YOU DO BRUH

4. PROMISE
Hormozi DOES NOT PROMISE THE WORLD
He promises the AVERAGE result of it's members, because that's what is getting the most signups as skool is positioned as the fun and easy way to setup an online business.
For me, I decrease churn, and the AVERAGE of people I work with usually decrease their churn by 30% of more. So I'd leverage this result rather then my best (I'll still share my best, but not as the desired outcome of all people)

5. PLAN
If you have watched the video, the PLAN is sprinkled out through the whole video. In all different segments of the video the PLAN is Hormozi explaing skools different use cases and how people are using the desired product/service. Do this with your CTA.
A good way to explain this is to ask questions your prosepct would ask,and then use your product as the ANSWER everytime!
