Welcome to your first mission! To master Communication & Culture, we have to start by seeing the invisible "filters" we all wear.
In the world of Rhetoric, we call this the Enthymeme—the shared assumptions that don't need to be spoken. In simple terms: it’s what your culture considers "common sense."
The Challenge (3 Minutes):
Reply to this post with one unwritten rule from your specific culture (professional, regional, or ethnic) that someone from the outside might find confusing.
• Example: "In my corporate culture, 'Let's circle back' actually means 'I don't want to talk about this right now.'"
• Example: "In my family's culture, you never take the last piece of food on a platter without asking three times."
Why do this?
When you name the "unspoken," you gain the power to navigate it.
