Most people try to manage their emotions by pushing through, holding it together, or forcing themselves to “be positive.” But when your mind is running a loop and your body is reacting, positive thinking usually does nothing.
What you need in that moment is a reset.
That is why I taught the Four-Part Reset Technique last week. It is a simple, clear method that helps you interrupt an emotional spike, settle your system, and shift into a state where you think and respond from your higher self.
Inside the class, we explored three key skills:
Awareness: Noticing the real story behind the feeling instead of getting swept into it.
Calibration: Giving the emotion a number so you can influence it instead of being controlled by it.
Future Pacing: Locking in the new identity, so you don’t fall back into old patterns.
When you bring these pieces together, the Reset becomes a powerful tool you can use any time you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, stuck, or triggered. It works fast, and it works without force.
