I was working with one of our community members last night who expressed overwhelm with needing to create several videos for products received as samples via Creator Connections.
Let me clear this up for you... While there may be a benefit to creating a video you are not restricted to that exclusively. Your obligation is to CREATE CONTENT... unless you SPECIFICALLY committed to or agreed to producing a video in your negotiations with that seller/brand. Make sense??
So let's talk about what you can do to fufill the obligation if you don't want to make videos.
- Take a photo and post to your Storefront
- Do a livestream and include the product in the carousel
- Take a photo and post it to Facebook... IG... Reels... pick one
- Add the item to an existing Idea List
- Add the item to a list you have on Benable
- Create a Pin featuring the item on Pinterest
- Write a blog post and include the item link
ALL of those are acceptable forms of content creation, not just videos.
So what is the deal with videos then right?
Here's the quick run down...
- You CAN create videos, post them to your storefront and hope to get "PLACEMENT" on the product's listing. When your watched video leads to a purchase, you earn commission. This what the seller/brand is hoping you will do.
- When you find products with low influencer videos, this can be a money shot for you... IF that item is making sales. (If the product isn't making sales, no one is earning anything.)
Now HERE'S how you can leverage this... Tune in for tonight's call at 7pm and I'll talk more about it, because I know you HATE super long posts, and I want to see your face! 😁
