Welcome to the Nail Tech Guild!
Hi there! My name is Marie but please call me Blue. I own Cobalt 406 Nails in the beautiful town of Hamilton, Montana. I've been a Nail Tech for 12+ years and it's time us to support each other by sharing what we've learned with other Nail Techs so we can all become better!
As far as I can tell, the primary focus of nail/beauty schools is to teach you to pass the state boards, not to be excellent at what you do right away. Besides that, there is so much information about having your own business that was never even brought up in my school, such as: is it better to booth rent or be an employee, dealing with picky clients, where to buy your supplies, the best way to offer appointment times to your customers so you don't have large holes in your schedule, when to offer discounts, etc.
A Guild is defined as an association of people for mutual aid or the pursuit of a common goal. Nail Guild is the place you can get your questions answered, be they technical questions about applying product, business questions or anything in between. If you're down, let us lift you up! If you are excited about something, share it! We can all share our experiences and learn from each other at Nail Guild.
