Polyvagal tools for your practice
As we’ve been talking a lot in the threads lately about the role the nervous system plays in our wellbeing, and how it shows up in client work day to day, I wanted to share the polyvagal resources that are now in the classroom.
Polyvagal theory, developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, looks at how the autonomic nervous system responds to safety, connection, and stress.
For many of you, this will already be part of how you think about your work.
What I find useful is having simple ways to bring this into sessions. That might be helping clients notice what state they’re in, make sense of what’s happening in their body, and find small ways to support themselves in the moment.
That’s why I’ve created a set of polyvagal-informed tools and added them into the classroom for you.
Inside, you’ll find visual guides, prompts, and exercises grounded in the different nervous system states, so you can bring this into your client work.
There are also social media posts included, so you can share your work with your audience.
