Guys, I messed up!
I had - what I thought was going to be a little intro meeting with someone who connected with me on LinkedIn - today.
Wrong! It ended being an actual interview for a position they wanted me to apply for!!! I was completely caught off guard but was able to do the best I could without doing any research. And even then, I do feel like it went okay.
BUT, here's the problem...when asked what my salary expectations would be...I gave a number. She said that it was totally in their range, but given her reaction, I feel like I totally lowballed myself. It is a new position in their company so I do not have any idea of what they usually pay. ALSO, the responsibilities of the position are rather distinct and not necessarily considered entry level.
I need some advice! How do I go about asking what their salary range is in my thank you email? If I already gave a number?
