Good Morning!
Today's goal is simple: Focus on ONE step of ONE life skill.
When we're teaching independence, it's easy to feel like we have to teach the entire routine all at once. But real progress usually happens one small step at a time.
Ask yourself: What's the next skill my child is ready to learn today?
Maybe it's:
• Pulling up pants independently
• Putting toothpaste on the toothbrush
• Turning the shower on
• Washing hands without a reminder
• Following one visual step
Choose just one and celebrate every bit of progress. It can be hard for us to step away when we've been so hands on for so long. But try giving them that one task and that one small step towards independence.
There might be mistakes or spills – but they will learn the more they try!
YOUR Affirmation today: I don't have to teach everything today. Every small step my child learns is building lifelong independence. Progress—not perfection—is enough.
