For a really long time now (I'm actually not sure how long) the price of becoming a Premium member has been a measly $3/month - less than a carton of milk, less than a cup of coffee, less than a pack of gum... But the times they are a-changing, inflation is taking its toll, and it has come time for the price to go up. 😊 In all honesty, though, the real reason for the price increase is Growth Boost. This top 1% community gets almost no ad time as far as I can tell, and they only reason I can think of is that the price is too cheap for Skool to make its ad spend back. What that means is that tons of Skoolers who could be benefiting from this community simply don't know about it. I have said again and again that I don't think it's wise to make business decisions based on Growth Boost, but I also just think increasing the price is a wise business decision as well. It is time. There are so many benefits to becoming a Premium member, that I really hope more of you take advantage of it. For all the details, check out this post. So, what will the new price be? Are you ready for it? You might want to sit down. As of September 1, the cost of becoming a Premium member will be $5/month. 😱 So, if you've been sitting on this and hemming and hawing, now is the time! Oh and tell your friends. Friends don't let friends Skool alone! 😉

What good is traffic when no one stays????
No matter how many people join your community, if they don't stay you have a major leaky bucket problem! On Friday in my other community, The Course and Community Build Lab (affectionately known as The Build Lab), I will be hosting a masterclass called the 10 Ways You Can Improve Member Retention to Grow Your Community and Increase Profits - because who doesn't want that, right??? This session is open to all members and a replay will be available if you cannot make the live session. And here is my promise to you: These tips are NOT AI-generated. I did not go to Claude and ask it for a list of community retention tips! These strategies come from years of my own experience as well as the experience of clients I've worked with both inside and outside of Skool. Some of the things I'm going to talk about I've never heard discussed inside Skool. Have I got your attention? This session is normally offered for a one-time fee of $47, but you can access it by joining the Standard tier of the Build Lab for only $27 and also get access to the Your Best Skool Community program and our live bi-weekly calls!

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS. To learn How to Make Your Classifeds' Posts Work Harder for You, check out this masterclass by one of our moderators, @Faith Adebayo

🔎 I thought this 100/100 About Page score was a mistake
This post is part of the Skool Discovery & Growth Boost Tips Series. My goal is simple - help Skool group owners get found and turn more visitors into members. -- When I first saw 100/100 on @Melanie Naumann Story-First Songwriting audit, my first reaction was not celebration. It was: “Something must be wrong.” Across hundreds of DFY and DIY About Page Audits (APA), very few pages have even come close to 80/100. So I checked the About Page again. Then the supporting visuals. Then every Copy and Visual criterion. I also double-checked the scoring logic inside the app to make sure the result wasn’t caused by an error. It wasn’t. Melanie’s page clearly covered all 15 areas currently measured by 🐬 APA: ✅ 60/60 for Copy ✅ 40/40 for Visuals Her audience is immediately clear. The frustration of guessing, getting stuck, and doubting whether the lyrics are good enough is easy to recognize. The final outcome is specific. Her Story-First Songwriting method explains how members move from ideas to music-ready lyrics. Her experience, deliverables, trial, pricing, and next step are all visible. The visuals continue the same story too. They show: ✅ the before-and-after journey ✅ the structured method ✅ what exists inside the Classroom ✅ a real member result ✅ the resources and support members receive ✅ a clear reason to take the next step But this needs an important clarification. 100/100 does not mean there is nothing left to improve. It means I could not find a missing foundation across the 15 things 🐬 APA currently checks. And I apply the same thinking to the audit itself. APA is not a finished product sitting on a shelf. I review every result, question anything that feels unusual, and improve the system as I learn from more real About Pages. What impressed me most is that Melanie’s result was not accidental. She has spent years developing the expertise behind the offer and continued refining how that value is presented.
