The PERSONALS is happening in 3 days
Sooo… your skool community shouldn’t need CPR every damn Tuesday 😬
You got people into your Skool group…now how the fuck do you get them to come back? 👀 Getting members is one problem. Getting those members to actually participate, connect with each other, use the shit you built, show up again tomorrow and eventually become the people who make your community feel like a community is a completely different one. And no…I don’t think the answer is posting “What’s your biggest struggle right now?” every Monday and hoping for the best 😅 I’m putting together a 30 Day Engagement by Design Sprint for existing Skool community owners who already have people inside their group and want to intentionally design what happens after they join. This isn’t 30 days of engagement hacks, generic post prompts or me handing you a calendar of shit to copy and paste. We’re going to look at the actual experience you’ve created for your members. Do they know how to participate without needing a fucking instruction manual? Is the next step obvious and small enough that they’ll actually take it? What behaviors are you rewarding…intentionally or accidentally? Are you creating opportunities for actual connection, or mostly giving people more shit to consume? What kinds of posts make it ridiculously easy to jump into a conversation? And are you trying to force engagement…or designing a space where participation makes sense? The sprint is based on my Engagement by Design framework, which I recently taught in the skool Scale Camp community, built around one big premise: Every community gets the engagement it was designed for. We’ll spend 30 days actually applying the principles to YOUR community, with plenty of room to implement and see what happens instead of cramming a bajillion lessons into four weeks and calling it transformation. This is specifically for existing Skool owners with actual members to work with. It’s not a build your first community program, and we’re not spending 30 days overhauling your About page or chasing some mythical engagement formula.

🔬 What Do Successful Skool Groups Have in Common?
I’ve been doing weekly deep dives into successful Skool communities, and one thing keeps surprising me: They’re not all succeeding the same way. This month I compared 4 completely different communities side-by-side: 🩺 A highly specialized veterinary community 🚴 A cycling coaching community 🎨 A $7/month printable sticker community 💼 A massive entrepreneurship community One sells expertise. One sells transformation and identity. One sells recurring enjoyment. One sells access and authority. Yet all four have built successful recurring community businesses. I put everything I learned into a Monthly Community Breakdown Comparison, including what each does differently, what they have in common, why their models work, and ideas you can apply to your own group. If you enjoy studying what successful Skools are actually doing instead of guessing what works, I’m adding breakdowns like these every week inside the lab. 👉 Check out the full comparison inside Skool Growth Lab. There isn't just one way to win with Skool there are many.

🌱 Food. Mindset. Compassion. And One Very Decisive Cat.
One of the things I love most about building Plant Positive is that I never quite know where the conversation will take us. This week? 🍕🧁 We turned leftovers into Pizza Cupcakes — crispy red lentil + quinoa bases, veg-loaded pesto, tofu ricotta AND crispy quinoa. HUGE WIN. 🥑 We shared simple ways to use less oil while enjoying MORE delicious whole food fats. Because healthy food should still taste amazing. 😋 🐈 My legendary little brother Sir Thomas (the cat, RIP 💚) reminded us that perhaps ready isn't something we need to feel. Perhaps it's something we decide. 💚 We tackled that brutal little thought: "Everyone else seems to find this so much easier." And flipped the comparison towards the person who can give you a MUCH more useful measure of progress: Past You. 📖 Speaking of past you... I shared the ONE habit that has perhaps the biggest positive impact on how I get things done: planning my day the night before. 🎙️ We went deeper with award-winning filmmaker Allison Argo and her beautiful new film Forever Home — exploring what our world could look like if we designed it with ALL animals in mind. 📗 Our How Not to Diet Book Club continued its journey through this beautiful beast of a book, with some brilliant questions supplied by one of our members. 🌯 AND because apparently Pizza Cupcakes weren't enough... There were Vegan Burger Tacos with caramelised onions. Obviously. 😂 This is Plant Positive. - Healthy habits + delicious plant-based food. - Getting stronger. Fitter. More consistent. - Thought-provoking conversations. - Compassion for animals. - And a community of kind-hearted people figuring it all out together. 💚 If you're vegan or plant-curious and this sounds like your kind of community, I'd love to welcome you. New members can explore everything with a 7-day free trial. Explore Plant Positive:

Life is a Game of Boomerangs
What you send out comes back to you. That's how Florence Scovel Shinn described The Law of Karma in 1925. But, she also gave another piece - you can neutralize the karma you create in the world by forgiveness. Sometimes we get into the habit of retelling the story of our pain over and over again. When someone asks how you are, you tell them everything that's wrong. You lay in bed at night thinking about it. Every time you do that you're throwing another boomerang (that's bound to return). Stop the cycle by offering forgiveness, whether to yourself, someone else, or just to let go of the situation Forgiveness isn't saying you condone bad behavior, but it's releasing you from it's grip so you can move on. Curious if you've ever seen this work in practice, or does it stay a theory for most people? In Living the Game of Life we dive deeper into this and the other principles in Florence Scovel Shinn's The Game of Life and How to Play It.
