So, I’m of the opinion…
…that, like the circular machines, the Caydo likes certain yarns and dislikes others. I’ve been playing making cords most of the day and have been using a lot of different yarns. I’ve used number 3 and 4 in a variety of colours. The 4 weight is better I think. Some of the 3 weights I have used have dropped stitches(see the photos) but it’s only a certain brand I’ve found at the moment. The Milk Cotton (which is acrylic) that I got from Temu is the main culprit. I used a number 2, mercerised cotton and that went through like a charm. It looks so pretty. I’ve also tried a textured yarn called Sirdar Tiny Tots in 2 colours. It’s a 3 weight with cottony flecks in it. I’ve taken a photo so you can see. The burgundy and lime colours in the last photo. That went through well too. I’m going to try some different yarns tomorrow to see what the Caydo can tolerate.
