10cc’s Unique Recording Trick
I just learned something fascinating about the band 10cc. For their song I’m Not in Love, they used a unique technique where each fader on the mixing board controlled a single pitched note. By moving the faders, they could play chords and create an ethereal, choir-like backing track. Such a creative way to turn the mixing board into a virtual instrument!
