๐ŸŽ„ Stories for a Cozy Christmas โ€“ Day 6 ๐ŸŽ„
Some Christmas traditions are explained.
Others are simply believed.
Tonight's story is about a mysterious lantern, an old lighthouse, and a reminder that hope shines brightest during the darkest nights. โœจ
The Lantern That Never Went Out
For as long as anyone could remember, a lantern hung outside the old lighthouse on Winter Point.
Every Christmas Eve, its warm golden light shone across the bay.
The strange thing was that nobody knew who lit it.
The lighthouse had been abandoned for years.
Yet somehow, every December 24th, the lantern glowed.
The townspeople called it the Christmas Lantern.
Children loved the mystery.
Adults simply smiled and accepted it.
But twelve-year-old Noah wanted answers.
This year, he was determined to solve the mystery once and for all.
As snow fell softly on Christmas Eve, Noah bundled up and made his way to the lighthouse.
The climb was steep and icy.
By the time he reached the top, night had fallen.
And there it was.
The lantern.
Burning brightly.
No footprints.
No signs of anyone nearby.
Only the warm golden glow.
Noah stepped closer and noticed something tucked beneath it.
A small wooden plaque.
Covered in years of weather and salt.
He brushed away the snow and read the faded words:
"As long as this light shines, no one journeys alone."
For a moment, Noah stood silently.
Looking out across the dark bay.
Looking at the tiny lights glowing in distant homes.
And suddenly, he understood.
The lantern wasn't about who lit it.
It was about what it meant.
A reminder that even during the darkest nights, there is always a light somewhere.
Always someone who cares.
Always hope.
As church bells rang across the town below, Noah smiled.
The mystery no longer mattered.
The message did.
And as he headed home through the snow, the lantern continued to shine.
Just as it always had.
And perhaps, just as it always would.
