Last night after dinner at our family Bible study, my kids (teens) asked about the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5). We read through the whole chapter 5 and discussed each of the works of the flesh (v19-21) and each of the fruits of the Spirit (v22-23), and how they pertain to God's Commandments, which we have hanging above our kitchen table for reminders and discussion. After considering all this with how Jesus calls us to live, along with Paul's closing statement (v 24-26) "those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." I saw the light bulb light up in their heads and they said, finishing each other's sentences, "When we walk in the fruits of the Spirit we are automatically following God's Commandments!" BINGO. Thank you Holy Spirit for this wonderful family Bible study. 🤍 How have you taught the fruits of the Spirit or other Bible concepts to your kids?
