Week 1
The verse that stood out to me the most was
“Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.”
— Proverbs 16:32 (NIV)
The word patient stood out to me! It stood out to me because this is the word I had received from God to pray over this coming year and to focus on! Diving deeper into it, in Proverbs 16:32 (ESV) it is said as “Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city”
slow to anger is something that I can work on. I also think I am a quick reactor to any emotion! This week I worked on thinking and processing before reacting or saying anything! I really like this method of fully processing the word verse by verse and sitting with God and asking him to reveal what I need to see! Overall I think this helped me slow down in be patience in his words and allowed me to work on what he wanted me to see!
