M2 WK 1 REFLECTION
  • What Scripture helped ground you the most this week? What distractions or doubts did you notice competing for your attention? How did being rooted in truth affect your peace or focus?
The scripture on my heart this week is Revelation 21. I have been realizing more and more that Jesus is coming back soon. As a kid, I heard that and thought, "yes, I know, we've been say that for 2,000 years." But it's just becoming more and more real to me as more prophecy is happening. And for me, the key verse this week from this scripture that has really been on my heart though is verse 4,
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
I just love the thought that the God of the universe chose me, and loves me enough to wipe the tears from my face. It brings me a lot of comfort this week.
As always, there are several things that distract me during the week, work, social media, things that feel more important in the moment. But, by being rooted in the truth, God always reminds me of what I need to stay focused on, a lot of times through conviction haha.
