Chicago Event Checklist for Attendees
We’re just days away from the event at the Marriott Marquis — here’s a quick checklist to make sure you’re ready from the moment you leave your house:
Before You Leave
- Download Uber/Lyft (if you don’t have them already)
- Screenshot your ticket confirmation so it’s easy to pull up
- Bring your ID
- Pack essentials: notebook + pen, business cards, chargers, breath mints, water bottle
- Dress code: smart casual
Getting to the Hotel
- Leave early (Chicago traffic can be unpredictable)
- Parking: Self-park at McCormick Place Lot A ($27/day) or valet at the Marriott ($38 event rate)
- Uber/Lyft drop-off: 2121 S. Prairie Ave, Chicago, IL 60616
At the Event
- Check in at the registration desk and grab your badge
- Look for the schedule handout at check-in
- Be intentional: network, ask questions, connect with 3–5 new people
- Take notes on 1–2 action steps you’ll apply right away
After the Event
- Follow up with new connections (send a quick text/DM that same day)
- Review your notes and choose one thing to implement immediately
- Share your experience on social — tag the event and speakers
