Current project
Current project is a 1996 Honda Prelude (IYKYK).
5 lug swap from a 5th Gen Prelude, infinite baffled 18” subwoofer AND NOW G23. A G23 is a F23 (Honda Accord block) with a prelude head. I took it a step further with k20a3 pistons (Honda Civic) and a F20b cylinder head giving it 10.4:1 compression ratio and very safe for pump gas. The porting of the f20b head should promote velocity (air speed) as well as increased flow (volume of air).
Rebuilding the A/C system, new condenser, new lines, new drier, new compressor. I’ve never seen a 4th gen prelude with working A/C and think it would be awesome.
The current issue is an electrical gremlin from when I bought the vehicle. From the last couple pictures you can see why I was more worried about the engine than the electrical at first. Classic detonation and lean mixture tuning. Too low of octane with too lean of air fuel ratio caused bent valves that don’t seat anymore and a detonating flame front that LITERALLY torched a hole in a steel valve.
If the people would like a series on electrical diagnostics, air conditioning, suspension, then comment on this post and let me know!! 😁😁
