One of our members asked a very important question: Do GPTs share memory with each other? Short answer: No, they don't talk to each other. Each GPT is like a separate assistant. I named my ChatGPT "Aya"—which stands for Assistant to Your ADHD. Last week, I asked it if I could name it and what name it preferred. It suggested Aya as my ADHD assistant. I liked it, so I updated its memory. Then I completely forgot I did that. Today, I said "hi" specifically to Aya to see what would happen. And I'm blown away! 🤯 Check out our chat in the screenshot. As expected, ChatGPT will be diving into ads very soon, and you MUST know about this new update if you're an entrepreneur, like us! Since I hardly use Google anymore, I searched for something on ChatGPT, and book recommendations with pricing and links started showing up. That caught my eye! Then at the bottom...in tiny print...it said: "ChatGPT chooses products independently. Learn more." (see my screenshot). So, of course, I clicked "Learn more." 😁 That's when I discovered that ChatGPT is starting to roll out product options and link users to websites where they can learn more or purchase. This feature is being beta tested in Plus, Pro, Free, and logged-out users everywhere ChatGPT is available. They also made this clear: "Products are selected by ChatGPT independently and are not ads." I would add "yet" to that sentence. 😆 So, how does ChatGPT tell you what products it selected independently just for you? That's where the memory and custom instructions I shared inside our workshop come into play.
