Last video I showed you how to build a Claude skill in about 10 minutes with SkillSmith. That was Part 1.
The problem? It only ran when YOU typed the command. You still had to sit there and babysit it.
Today we fix that. I show you how to turn that same skill into a 24/7 AI employee that runs WITHOUT YOU.
There are 3 ways to do it, and I walk through all of them:
- Hermes on your own VPS. Full control, your own server, any AI model you want, and it can text you from your phone.
- Claude Managed Agents. Zero ops, fully cloud hosted, the easiest path if you do not want to touch a server.
- n8n. Still solid if you already live inside workflows.
Then I go ALL IN on Hermes and do a full A to Z setup:
- deploy it on a VPS in a few clicks
- plug in OpenRouter so ONE key unlocks every model
- connect it to Slack so you can run it from your phone
- take the exact skill from Part 1 and schedule it to run on its own every week
By the end you have an agent that wakes up, does the work, and drops the report into your Slack while you sleep. NO COMMANDS. NO BABYSITTING.
