We all know what happens to a caterpillar on its way to becoming a butterfly. It dissolves. Completely. Nothing recognizable remains. And from that goo something entirely new gets to grow. That's you. You're the goo. AKA Caterpillar Soup.
People call it the void, liminal space, a midlife crisis, death and rebirth, the messy middle. But it's all the same soup.
Caterpillar Soup is the community I built because nothing else like it existed when I needed it. My soup felt like terror at first. As it turns out the in-between is better with curiosity, wonder, and whimsy. I think the goo is just better that way.
