Le Subjonctif — What It Is and How to Form It
Salut! Today you're learning the subjonctif — one of the most important verb moods in French, used to express wishes, doubts, obligations and emotions.

The rule: take the ils form at present tense, drop the -ent, and add these endings
que je -e
que tu -es
qu'il / elle -e
que nous -ions
que vous -iez
qu'ils / elles -ent
Example with venir — ils viennent → base : vienn-
que je vienne
que tu viennes
qu'il / elle vienne
que nous venions
que vous veniez
qu'ils viennent
The 4 most important irregular verbs — these don't follow the rule, just memorize them!
Être
que je sois / que tu sois / qu'il soit / que nous soyons / que vous soyez / qu'ils soient
Avoir
que j'aie / que tu aies / qu'il ait / que nous ayons / que vous ayez / qu'ils aient
Aller
que j'aille / que tu ailles / qu'il aille / que nous allions / que vous alliez / qu'ils aillent
Faire
que je fasse / que tu fasses / qu'il fasse / que nous fassions / que vous fassiez / qu'ils fassent
