Thick fog sitting on the Satilla. Do you push off or wait it out?
Day 3. Woke up to fog so thick you couldn’t see the far bank. Dew on everything but the tarp system did its job — stayed dry.
Got the fire going with the Uberleben striker. Birch bark, hog jowl in the cast iron, eggs, coffee for Tina. Breakfast while the fog sat on the water behind us.
Here’s the call — fog like that on a river you don’t know well. Do you break camp and push off early, or do you sit tight and let it burn off first? 👇
(Tell me what you’d do — I’ll tell you what we did.)
