Introducing myself
I won’t be perfect on here as I’m very new to this.
While building this Skool, it’s an open group for anyone to join and for anyone who wants to talk.
TALK — that four-letter word is key to so many of our problems. We often don’t. Mainly men, but a lot of women too. Maybe we don’t know how to say what we want, don’t know who to say it to, or maybe we just have nobody to listen. I get you. And I understand.
Having been at rock bottom for a long time and faced many challenges, I was an addict — drugs, gambling, drink, girls… chaos.
I lived at 100 miles an hour, and I was only heading down a path of destruction and failure. I had tried more times than I can remember to sort my life out, and I just couldn’t. Despite wanting to, I was addicted to failure. On the outside, I looked like someone who had it all together, but inside I was breaking every day. I was on a one-way road I wouldn’t be able to come back from.
Then something happened.
I got very ill and faced a lot of health battles — cancer scares. I lost a lot of loved ones. No amount of support groups seemed to help, because I often felt like I knew more about the addictions I faced, and how to overcome them, than any counsellor could tell me.
Then I was asked, “Why don’t you speak to other people in your situation? Maybe it will help.”
And amazingly, it did.
I was able to put into practice the things I knew were right because I spoke them out loud. I was finally diagnosed with ADHD, which was no surprise to anyone. And I finally found peace in my life — and now have a beautiful family.
From there, I continued to learn ways to support people — not just with addictions, but with problems in life. Whether physical or mental. Whether that’s finding balance, structure, or clarity.
The knowledge, combined with the fact I’d been there and worn the T-shirt, made me relatable. It created a deeper connection — and my results and success in helping people continued to grow.
I’ve now become a life coach and have spent thousands of hours learning how to be a better person and help others become better too.
I recently met someone who introduced me to this space, and I’ve decided to step away from what I usually do for a period of time to hopefully help more people within a larger community.
My main reason for this is seeing young people struggle more than ever — suicide rates rising and a general feeling that people are lost.
I’m not here to gaslight anyone. There may come a time when this page includes a private, paid community where I can offer more personal, structured support — because no two people’s problems, or paths to success, are ever the same.
Don’t listen to anyone who says there’s a one-size-fits-all way to win at life. There isn’t.
In the meantime, this community page will always remain, and I’ll always be active on here.
I look forward to speaking to you all.
Thanks for reading this essay… haha.
