Welcome, BWICs!
You’ve found a space created specifically for Black Women Instructional Coaches. BWIC™ grew out of my research on the experiences of Black women serving in instructional coaching roles. One of the things that came through clearly in that work was the importance of belonging, having people and spaces where we feel seen, supported, and connected.
This is a space for BWICs to connect with one another, talk candidly about the work, exchange ideas and resources, celebrate our wins, learn together, and build relationships with women who understand what it means to do this work.
Some of our gatherings may simply be conversations. Other times, we may dig into a problem of practice, share resources, learn from one another, or offer professional learning based on what the community identifies as its needs. We’ll build that together.
