What’s “Worth It” to You?
🏈 Every year, I head to the Texas high school football state championships—a marathon of four intense days with three games a day. I’m not talking about leisurely watching 12 games - this is work!
I begin working by 5am, and I don’t rest until well after midnight - often 2 or 3. It’s a whirlwind of writing, editing, talking, networking, interviewing, planning, and walking multiple times each game from the highest levels at AT&T stadium to the field. Honestly? It’s exhausting.
But here’s the thing: I love it! ❤️
The excitement, the camaraderie, the energy of the games—it all fuels me to push through the fatigue, discomfort, and chaos. The relationships I make, build and nurture here are some of the most enduring and positive.
Although the aches and pains may say different when it’s all over, it doesn’t feel like work when you’re doing it.
❓Now, here’s the question I want to ask you:
What’s something you love so much that it’s worth a lot of difficulty?
Life isn’t easy, and achieving great things often comes with challenges. But if you can connect with what drives you—what lights you up—it’s amazing how much you can endure and accomplish.
The next time you face something hard, think about this: If it’s worth it to you, you can find the strength to do it. And after you’ve done it once, you’ll know you can do it again and again.
So, what’s your “championship”? What’s worth the grind for you?
Share your thoughts in the comments—I’d love to hear what drives you.
