How to Reset Momentum Without Burning Out
Every big goal has three phases: the spark, the dip, the stride.
Most of us get stuck in the dip and mistake it for burnout—but it’s not. It’s biology. Your brain stops getting the dopamine from novelty and needs a new source of progress.
Here’s the framework I use to reset momentum:
1️⃣ Reconnect – Remember your why. Step back, take a breath, and ask: What outcomes still matter even if everything else shifts?
2️⃣ Reassess – Look at your systems. What’s working? What’s draining you? Trim the busy work, tighten your focus, and simplify where you can.
3️⃣ Reenergize – Shift your environment or rhythm for 24 hours. Work from a new spot, take a walking meeting, or block a creative half-day. Energy shifts start with environment shifts.
Momentum isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what actually moves the needle consistently.
💡 Question for you: Which of these three steps could you implement this week to regain your stride? Drop your answer below 👇
