You can turn off the ability for people to DM you by community?
Everyone is talking about spam DM’s today so here’s my contribution. You can switch them off!
Personally I don’t see why strangers would need to DM you when they can have a conversation with you in the comments of a post, which means information helps others, and the engagement helps the community to grow and be seen on the discovery search.
The admin of the community can still DM you and you can DM others so if you are chatting in comments and YOU want to take it to DM’s you can still do that.
It just stops any chance of spam/cold pitching/inappropriate contact from randos
