Karambit knife
OK, I want to talk a little bit about the Karambit so for those of us that trained with this weapon in the Filipino martial arts, we know a little history about this is that it started out as a farming implement for cultivating soil and planning seeds in Indonesia, and then moved into other Asian countries, if my history is correct. We also know that there's basically three different grips. The reverse grip or pickle grip where the claw is pointed down towards the opponent and then there's the Sak Sak grip or forehand grip where the claw of the blade is also pointed towards the opponent, but the blade point is at the top rather than at the bottom. There's also the extended grip.So I have a few of these as actual weapons and aluminum trainers. And it seems like every single one that I see that comes with a sheath by the time you put it on your body around your belt the claw is pointed away from your opponent, instead of pointing forward towards your opponent, so using that type of sheet, I would have to wear it on the left side of my belt and honestly anything can happen within a quick second and I don't like the idea of crossing my right arm to reach for my blade, therefore tying my body up so I would rather deploy my weapon from my right side. Tell me what you guys think because I can't seem to find a sheath that is designed to be used more as a self-defense weapon as you wear it on your body.
