The Kings Trust
What a brilliant day at Bowlees today. We were joined by young people from The King’s Trust and Teeswale, who brought so much energy, curiosity and kindness with them. We started with a walk out to Low Force, taking in the sound of the falls and crossing the Wynch Bridge before heading back to the farm. Once back everyone rolled up their sleeves and helped plant more beautiful additions to the sensory garden. The group worked together so naturally — choosing spots, preparing the soil, and settling each plant in with real care. Huge thank you to everyone who came along. Days like this show exactly what happens when nature, community and opportunity come together. 🌱💚#springjobs #educatingfarming #FarmLife

First lambing session
The lads we’ve got in today try to visit at least once a week. They’re in a residential care setting with a school on site, and it means a lot to me that the farm can give them a bit of freedom and space. From what they’ve told me, they absolutely love coming here — and I really hope they can keep visiting. They’re brilliant kids and it’s a joy having them around.

Wildness Day at Bowlees
Today the dale reminded us exactly who’s in charge. Gusts roaring up to 70–90mph, sheets of icy rain stinging cheeks, and the trees doing their best impression of a full‑body workout. But even on a day like this, there’s a strange kind of beauty in it — the sort that makes you stop, breathe, and feel the raw power of Mother Nature. The animals tucked themselves into wall sides, the barns door rattling, and the paths have turned to rivers!

Kinect Bishop Auckland
🌿 A lovely day on the farm today. We had the brilliant pupils from Kinect, Bishop Auckland with us — and what a fantastic bunch they were. They threw themselves into every activity, asked the best questions, and brought so much energy to the place. It’s always a joy watching young people connect with the animals, the land, and each other in such a positive way. A huge well done to the whole group for getting stuck in. You made the farm feel extra alive today, and we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon. A massive shout out to the team at Kinect for all they do to support the children @KINECT #kramer #lifeonthefarm #farmlifeforchildren #learningoutside4walls
