A heavy metal drummer writing a drumset orchestral concerto. An electronic producer weaving Carnatic rhythms into lofi hip-hop. A singer-songwriter scoring for a circus act. You get the idea.
A space to explore what happens when you choose not to let inherited boundaries determine your music; to work through the creative challenges of making music this way; and to share work with composers navigating similarly unconventional territory.
I've spent years making music that doesn't fit any category - a Bansuri and Orchestra work, a cross-cultural electro-acoustic project in 4 languages, co-creating a music therapy experience for grief - and dealing with everything that comes with that.
I want to put serious composers doing this kind of work in the same room and actively curate that room.
