This is a safe place where Muslims (especially African-American Muslims) can gather to discuss and explore TRADITIONAL Islam, and to grow closer as a community.
We have social events. We have structured courses. We have... fun.
Any topic may be discussed here. If Muslims want to discuss gardening, or health & fitness, or politics, or parenting, it's all welcome. We are here to learn from one another and to share.
When it comes to Islam, though, this space is limited to the traditional Islamic understandings of Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa^ah. This means that our fiqh is either Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i or Hanbali, and our Aqidah is either Ash'ari or Maturidi, and we have love and respect for true Tasawwuf. (Note that true Athari aqidah does not conflict with the Ash'ari and Maturidi schools.) Our Islamic content is vetted and guaranteed to represent a traditional point of view. We value trustworthiness here.
