A budget light meter??
I came across these new Godox C100 Mini cameras today. They are less than $50 bucks and totally gimmicky, but they do have a bit of a quirk that may be useful: they function as a spot meter! I picked one up and will test to see how they do. Have any of you used one? Here's a link to one: https://a.co/d/0eTKcLtM

Welcome to Bits to Strips!
🎉 START HERE Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. This is a space for digital photographers on the journey to shooting beautiful film portraits with confidence. Here's how to get started: 👉 Step 1: Watch the welcome video below 👉 Step 2: Explore the classroom — you'll find step-by-step lessons on choosing a film camera and stock, lighting and exposing for film, and getting from the shoot to finished scans and prints 👉 Step 3: Jump into the community — share your film photos (even the "happy accidents"), read what others are sharing, connect 👉 Step 4: Check out the support options: https://www.skool.com/bits-to-strips/plans Introduce yourself below! Tell us what you shoot now, and what's pulling you toward film. I'll go first: I've been a portrait photographer for 21 years, and I fell for film back in 2004! Back then, film photography was the dominant medium, but even then we could see the promise of digital. When I picked up my first digital I was amazed at the quality and I felt immediately spoiled. However, even with the convenience of digital I never fully left film behind. The look, the feel, and the process are in my blood. I'm sure it's the same with you! What gives me a thrill more than anything these days is teaching. Whether about lighting, exposure, or film techniques, it gives me so much joy to help bring a new generation of people back to film. Can't wait to walk this path with you! — Hans Here's a link to the welcome video:
