Here is a teaser from the first chapter of the Night Driver.
The first shot came without warning. Just a hard CRACK, and the rear window shattered. The safety glass spiderwebbed. The drunk screamed and dove to the floor of the cab.
Diego jerked but didn’t freeze. He stomped the brakes and yanked the wheel right. The Checker skidded across Avenue C and slammed into a pile of garbage bags. Trash exploded around them.
Another muzzle flash came from behind. The cab jolted, and the roof light blew out in a fountain of sparks. Diego didn’t look back. He jammed the shifter into gear and bolted south, tires wailing. Another shot hit the rear quarter panel. The engine whined like a kicked dog.
Think. Move. Live.
Editing is complete now, and it is being formatted for both KDP and B&N Press. Book cover design is with the graphic designer, and today I will have a draft copy for review. I will share the draft of the book cover with this community for feedback.
