🚨 LET ME UNLEARN SOMETHING OUT LOUD… 🚨
God does NOT talk more about punishment than love.
We just heard punishment louder.
Because fear keeps people in line…
but love keeps people connected.
The Bible says:
📖 “God is love.”
Not “God is mad.”
Not “God is waiting to strike you.”
LOVE.
Before there was law — there was love.
Before correction — there was compassion.
Before judgment — there was mercy.
And Jesus?
Jesus didn’t walk around threatening people.
He healed them.
Ate with them.
Sat with them.
Forgave them.
Loved them FIRST.
📖 “It’s God’s kindness that leads us to repentance.”
Not fear.
Not shame.
Not hell threats.
Kindness.
Yes, God corrects — but correction ain’t cruelty.
Discipline ain’t rejection.
And accountability don’t cancel love.
If God was focused on punishment…
He would’ve wiped us out a long time ago.
But instead?
He keeps sending grace.
Every.
Single.
Day.
Some of us didn’t walk away from God —
we walked away from a version of Him
that was taught wrong.
🗣️ God ain’t trying to scare you into heaven.
He’s trying to love you into healing.
If love was the first thing you learned about God…
a lot of wounds wouldn’t exist.
And if you’ve ever been made to feel like
God only loves you when you act right…
That wasn’t God talking.
That was fear wearing Scripture.
