God never asked you for religion. He asked you for relationship.
And yes… there’s a difference.
Religion told you:
• “Get yourself together first.”
• “Don’t ask questions.”
• “Hide your mess.”
• “Look holy even when you hurting.”
• “God only love you when you acting right.”
But God?
God said:
“Come here. Just like that.”
👀
God was walking with Adam before there was ever a church.
Talking to Abraham like a friend.
Letting Moses argue with Him without striking him dead.
And Jesus?
Jesus was EATING with people church folks wouldn’t even sit next to.
Let that sink in.
If God wanted perfection,
He would’ve picked better people.
Religion loves rules.
God loves real.
Religion wants performance.
God wants honesty.
That’s why some of y’all feel closer to God in your car, in the shower, or crying at 2AM than you ever did in a pew.
Because God don’t live in buildings.
He lives in conversations.
And listen…
If church hurt you?
God didn’t.
If people used Scripture to control you?
That wasn’t God.
If you walked away from religion?
You didn’t walk away from Him.
🗣️ God ain’t scared of your questions.
He ain’t offended by your doubts.
He ain’t waiting on you to be perfect.
He just wants you to talk to Him.
Walk with Him.
Be real with Him.
Religion says:
“Do better.”
Relationship says:
“Come closer.”
And if we being honest…
Most of us don’t need more rules.
We need healing.
